Local anti-Mormon polemics consistently suffer from a lack of academic rigor and a failure to engage honestly with contemporary Mormon Studies and scripture. This carelessness is evident at the most basic level; the author fails to accurately identify the Prophet Joseph Smith Jr., misnaming him “Joseph F.
