" I Stand all amazed at the love Jesus offers me
Confused at the grace that so fully he proffers me.
I tremble to know that for me he was crucified,
That for me, a sinner, he suffered, he bled and died.
Oh, it is wonderful that he should care for me
Enough to die for me!

Jesus, after eating the Passover meal and instituting the Sacrament, Jesus and His disciples sang a psalm and left the upper room. they went to the garden of Gethsemane, at the mount of Olives para simulan na ni Jesus Christ ang kanyang Atoning sacrifice (Mt. 26:30-26).

Gethsemane

Found on or near the Mount of Olives just outside Jerusalem’s walls, Gethsemane was a garden of olive trees the Savior often visited (Lk. 22:39; Jn. 18:1–2). On this night, the Savior had come to Gethsemane to suffer for the sins of all mankind and work out the infinite Atonement. The garden lay to the east of the temple in Jerusalem. As outlined in the law of Moses, when someone desired to make a burnt offering, he selected a “male [animal] without blemish” and presented it to the priest at the east door of the tabernacle (Lev. 1:3). During New Testament times, the offering was presented to the priest at the eastern gate of the temple in Jerusalem. These acts can be seen as a similitude of the Savior presenting Himself to His Father in the Garden of Gethsemane.

Elder Russell M. Nelson of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles explained: “There in the garden bearing the Hebrew name of Gethsemane—meaning ‘oil press’—olives had been beaten and pressed to provide oil and food. There at Gethsemane, the Lord ‘suffered the pain of all men, that all … might repent and come unto him’ [D&C 18:11]. He took upon Himself the weight of the sins of all mankind, bearing its massive load that caused Him to bleed from every pore [see Luke 22:44; D&C 19:18]” (“The Atonement,” Ensign, Nov. 1996, 35).
The Agony In The
Garden
Pinili ni Jesus Christ si Peter, James, and John para samahan at bantayan siya habang siya ay nagprapray (Mt. 26:37-45). Jesus then started to pray to His Father. and while nangyayari ang mga ito, natagpuan ni Jesus Christ nang ilang beses sina Peter, James, and John na natutulog. they wanted to stay awake pero napagod talaga sila. (Mt. 26:40-44).
In His prayer, hiniling ni Jesus Christ na ilayo sa kanya ang "bitter cup", and dahil sa kanyang pagmamahal, sinabi Niya na "...not my will, but thine be done." (Mt. 26:39-44). Jesus here shows an unselfish act, na kahit hindi man Niya gusto ang mga mangyayari, nagsubmit parin siya kay Heavenly Father dahil alam niya na its for the greater good. mas pinili niya ang kapakanan ng lahat kaysa sa sarili niyang desires. mas pinili niya na maging obedient kay Heavenly Father, and ginawa niya ito dahil mahal na mahal niya tayo.
In this night, He showed the greatest love in human history. sa kanyang pagprapray, He took all of our sins, sufferings, sadness, and everything na nafefeel natin. naramdaman niya ang bawat sakit at pait ng every single human. He took all of it. i-imagine mo kunng ikaw yung tao na pinaka-stressed and depressed, ang pinkakawawang tao sa buong mundo. lahat tayo ay ayaw na maramdaman yun, so in behalf, si Jesus Christ nalang ang kumuha ng punishment na ito para sa atin. Jesus was tortured emotionally and phsycollogicaly in the garden of Gethsemane. dahil sa sobrang emotional pain na nararamdaman niya, nilabasan siya ng dugo in every pore of His body (Lk. 22:41-44; D&C 19:16-19). sa medical science, tinatawag ang rare phenomenon na ito na Hematridosis. possible lamang na magpawis ka ng dugo kung nagsusuffer ka emotionally at sa sobrang stress at takot. sa sobrang emotional pain na naramdaman niya ay kinailangan niya ng angel na magpapalakas sa kanya. Jesus suffered these things para lang maovercome natin ang mga challenges sa life natin, para matama ang mga mali na nagawa natin (repentance), at para makabalik sa presence ni Heavenly Father (Heb. 9:22-28).
The following account illustrates one way in which the oil exuded from pressed olives can graphically represent the blood Jesus Christ shed in Gethsemane:
“One fall semester I supervised the students at the BYU Jerusalem Center as they participated in their own olive harvest and pressing activity. The olives were placed in the yam, or rock basin, and the crushing stone was pushed around and around the basin until the olives began to ooze their oil. When the oil began to run down the lip of the limestone basin, it had the distinctive red color characteristic of the first moments of the new pressing each year.
“At that instant an audible gasp came from the 170 students who surrounded the olive press to witness our re-creation of the ancient pressing process. It was a stunning, even chilling, minute until the oil turned back to its usual golden color. I believe everyone in that group had the same thought as we watched this happen. It was more than just an amazing confirmation of the symbolism we had discussed. This was, right before our very eyes, a real-life reflection of Gethsemane. … In the place called the ‘oil press,’ Gethsemane, the Savior was pressed in our behalf as he wrought for all mankind the infinite and eternal atonement” (Andrew C.
