"Inyong saliksikin at basahin ang aklat ng PANGINOON: Kahit isa sa mga ito ay hindi magkukulang; walang mangangailangan ng kanyang kasama. Sapagkat iniutos ng bibig ng PANGINOON, at tinipon sila ng kanyang Espiritu." (Is. 34:16) Ang Biblia 2001

Eli Soriano badly took out the context of the verse. ang panguanawa ni Soriano sa talatang ito ay na ang "aklat ng Panginoon" ay ang tinutukoy dito na "hindi mangangailangan ng kanyang kasama". he concluded na hindi na daw mangangailangan ng kasama ang Biblia, na kagaya ng dictionary, world history, the Book of Mormon, etc. Other groups kagaya ng Inc hold the same view. ngunit mali ang claim niya na ito at wala sa context ng talata ang doktrina na sola scriptura. this time, babasahin natin ang passage in context :

"Kanilang tatawagin iyon na Walang Kaharian Doon, at lahat niyang mga pinuno ay mawawalang kabuluhan. At mga tinik ay tutubo sa kanyang mga palasyo, mga dawag at damo sa mga muog niyon. Iyon ay magiging tahanan ng mga asong-gubat, tirahan ng mga avestruz. At ang maiilap na hayop ay makikipagsalubong sa mga asong-gubat, at ang lalaking kambing ay sisigaw sa kanyang kasama; ang malaking kuwago ay maninirahan din doon, at makakatagpo siya ng dakong pahingahan. Doo'y magpupugad at mangingitlog ang ahas, at magpipisa ng itlog at titipunin sa kanyang lilim; doon matitipon ang mga lawin, bawat isa'y kasama ng kanyang kauri. Isaiah writes some animals in this passage, namely :

V. 14

1. Maiilap na hayop 

2. Mga lobo/asong gubat 

3. Lalaking kambing (with mate) 

4. Malaking Kuwago 

5. Ahas (v. 15)

Verse 16 in Hebrew reads :

דִּרְשׁ֨וּ מֵֽ עַל ־סֵ֤פֶר יְהוָה֙ וּֽ קְרָ֔אוּ אַחַ֤ת מֵ הֵ֨נָּה֙ לֹ֣א נֶעְדָּ֔רָה אִשָּׁ֥ה רְעוּתָ֖הּ לֹ֣א פָקָ֑דוּ כִּֽי ־פִי֙ ה֣וּא צִוָּ֔ה וְ רוּחֹ֖ו ה֥וּא קִבְּצָֽן ׃ 

First, ang Hebrew here reads לֹא נֶעְדָּרָה אִשָּׁה רְעוְּתָהּ which is in reference to a female. Ang Hebrew word naman sa verse however, na סֵ֤פֶר which is translated as "the Book" is a masculine. Hebrew however doesn't hold any neuter genders so It cannot be applied to both genders as argued ng ilang mga MCGI, and therefore, it cannot be in reference to the female Hebrew words na nabanggit sa Isa. 34:16b/c and sa previous verses in context. 

Kung ating mapapansin, ang sinasabi na "hindi mangangailangan ng kasama" o "none shall want her mate" ay tumutukoy sa pairing ng mga nilalang na natukoy sa chapter at ang pairing na ito ay mababasa sa Aklat ng Panginoon (v. 14-16) at hindi ang "Aklat ng Panginoon" ang tinutukoy na "hindi mangangailangan ng kasama." It's the creatures mentioned. it's breeding in the context. The "Book of the Lord" (v.16a) here is understood as the reference of where those creatures are found.  Therefore, we can conclude that the context of this verse has nothing to do with the false doctrine of Sola Scriptura (Bible alone).

Ayon sa commentary ni Albert Barnes sa konteksto ng Isaias 34 :

Seek ye out - Lock carefully at the prediction, and its fulfillment. This seems to be addressed to the inhabitants of that land, or to any who might doubt, or be disposed to examine. They were invited to compare the prediction with the fulfillment, and see how literally all would be fulfilled - an examination which may be made now, and the prediction will be seen to have been accomplished with most surprising particularity and accuracy.

The book of the Lord - The book of Yahweh, which he has caused to be written, referring, perhaps, especially to what Isaiah has here recorded; including also what had been uttered by the other prophets in regard to Edom. The main reference is, however, doubtless, to what Isaiah has written; and the invitation is to compare his predictions with the certain and remarkable evidence of the fulfillment. 'The prophet evidently contemplated the insertion of his prophecy among the sacred books of the Jews, from which those that followed him might judge of the correctness of the prophecy' (Noyes). That a collection of the various prophetic books was made, constituting one book or volume, and regarded as the work of inspiration, is well known, and is referred to during the captivity in Babylon by Daniel Isa 9:2. The direction to search that book accords with the command of the Saviour John 5:39, and the direction of Nicodemus John 7:32, to search the Scriptures.

No one of these shall fail - Not one of these predictions, or these things which have been spoken.

None shall want her mate - That is, none of the things which I have spoken shall want a fulfillment as its companion. The language is here evidently taken from the pairing of animals, and denotes that all that is spoken shall be entirely fulfilled. Some have understood tilts as referring to the wild animals of which he had spoken, and as meaning that in desolate Idumea they should be appropriately paired, and should breed and increase in abundance. But the more natural interpretation is to refer it to the predictions of the prophet, as meaning that no one thing which he had uttered should want a complete fulfillment.

For my mouth - The word 'my' is not in the Hebrew. The Hebrew phrase is הוא כי־פי kı̂y-pı̂y hû', 'For the mouth, he hath commanded.' The word הוא hû' stands for "He," that is, Yahweh, and the phrase means the same as his mouth, that is, the mouth of God. The Septuagint renders it, 'For the Lord hath commanded them.' Lowth renders it, 'For the mouth of Jehovah,' changing הוא hû' into יהוה yehovâh in accordance with five manuscripts and the translation of the Septuagint.

And his spirit - The Spirit of God; that is, Yahweh himself.

Hath gathered them - Will collect, or assemble; that is, the wild beasts spoken of in the previous verses that shall occupy desolate Idumea. It shall be the agency of God that shall bring them up upon the land to occupy it forever. - Barnes Notes On The Bible
