Si Eli Soriano ay ang Filipino preacher na founder ng Members Of The Church Of God International (MCGI) at kilala sa kanyang Television program na Ang Dating Daan (ADD) na kung saan ay isang Q&A show. Madaming problems Theologically ang MCGI kagaya ng mga nadiscuss noon na false doctrines nila kagaya ng walang tuhod ang Dios pero may puwet, may halay si Jesus, nagkasala minsan si Jesus, ang Isa. 34:16 daw ay may Sola Scriptura, no more modern prophets, hindi global ang Noah's flood (The Deluge) at madami pa. They are known sa kanilang arrogance at intolerance toward other faiths and kakamislead din ng mga members sa Only True Church with their cheap shots sa bible that they always take out of context, so kailangan na bigyan ng action ang group na ito. Isa sa weird doctrines nila ay may Matris daw ang Ama (a.k.a womb) at nanganganak daw Siya. First, ang kanilang proof-textes na ginagamit ay ang Jn. 1:18; Lk. 16:22-23; Heb. 1:5. as listed, tingan natin yung context ng mga following verses enlisted at tingan natin kung exegetical ba yung interpretation ni Eli Soriano. We will quote the following mula sa favorite na Tagalog bible version ni Soriano—Ang Biblia 1905/1982 (a.k.a Ang Dating Biblia) with comparison sa Greek text at sa modern Bible versions.
John 1:18 And Luke 16:22-23
"Walang taong nakakita kailan man sa Dios; ang bugtong na Anak, na nasa sinapupunan ng Ama, siya ang nagpakilala sa kanya." (Jn. 1:18) Ang Biblia 1905

Ang Greek ng verse ay :
Θεὸν οὐδεὶς ἑώρακεν πώποτε· μονογενὴς θεὸς ὁ ὢν εἰς τὸν κόλπον τοῦ πατρὸς ἐκεῖνος ἐξηγήσατο. (NA28)
First, let us take note na Ang Biblia 1905 is translated sa classical Tagalog. It's New Testament is published in 1902 and the whole Bible is published in 1905. As time goes by and by—nagiging archaic na language nito. tumatanda na ang mga mga words at nagchachage ng meaning. As for example, ang word na "sinapupunan" is not understood today as understood noong 1905/1902. ang word na ito before means "lap", "womb", "belly", at "bossom". Now ang word na ito is understood as "womb".
But we don't have that sa Koine Greek (which is the original language ng New Testament). May dalawang magkaibang terms para sa "bossom"; "lap" at for "womb". ang Greek word para sa "bossom"; "lap" ay κόλπος (Kolpos) samantalang ang Greek word para sa "womb" ay μέτρα (metra) at κοίλα (koila). ang Greek word na μέτρα is always used in the context ng pregnancy (cf. Lk. 2:23) at ang Greek word na κοίλα is used to refer to both belly, womb, stomach, at heart (cf Mt. 15:17; 12:40; 19:12; Lk. 1:15; 23:29; Jn. 7:38; Rom 16:18). Ang dalawang Greek words na ito for womb does not appear sa Greek text ng Jn. 1:18 as well sa Lk. 16:22-23. Ang Greek word na κόλπος ay nagpapakita sa text ng Jn. 1:18 in a accusative masculine singular form. ang Greek na ito means "at the side" or at the "bossom" (sa tabi; sa dibdib; sa kandungan). The term is defined sa isang scholarly lexicon as the following :
κόλπος, ου, ὁ (Hom.+; ins, pap, LXX; TestSol 2:3 W; TestAbr; TestJob 10:4; JosAs ch. 11 cod. A [p. 52, 11 Bat.]; ApcSed 14:6; Philo, Joseph.) var. mngs. in gener. lit. usage, freq. w. suggestion of curvature and the hollow so formed, as of a person’s chest, folds in a garment or a bay of the sea; our lit. contains no application of the term to anatomical parts uniquely female.

Furthermore, apart fr. the idea of dining together on the same couch, ‘being in someone’s bosom’ denotes the closest association (cp. ② the fold of a garment, fold, formed as it falls from the chest over the girdle (Hom. et al.; Jos., Ant. 2, 273). Fr. early times (e.g. Od. 15, 468; Herodas 6, 102; Diod S 25, 16; Appian, Iber. 13 §49; Polyaenus 7, 48; 8, 64; Dio Chrys. 67 [17], 22; Ex 4:6f; Jos., Bell. 6, 195) this fold was used as a pocket. διδόναι τι εἰς τὸν κ. τινός put someth. into the fold of someone’s garment (cp. Polyb. 3, 33, 2; Ps 78:12; Is 65:6; Jer 39:18; TestJob 10:4 κόλπῳ κενῷ) Lk 6:38.

Kaya sa mga bagong versions sa Tagalog ngayon translate this word as "kandungan" (Ang Biblia 2001; Filipino Standard Version/FSV). Ginamit ni Apostle John ang Greek word na ito to show ang intimacy ni Jesus Christ kay Heavenly Father as the Divine Son of God. parang Ama na (Jn. 1:18b; 3:16-17; 14:6; 1 Tim 2:5-6) at ang kanyang power as sitting right next to the Father. hindi ang pagbubuntis ni Heavenly Father kay Jesus Christ.
Hebrews 1:5 (cf Ps. 2:7; Acts 13:33; Heb. 5:5)

Sa Ang Biblia 1905, nirerender dito ay Greek word na γεννάω (gennaō) bilang "pinanganak". Again, "pinanganak" have a wider na meaning sa classical Tagalog but is understood today as simply being "born". and however, the term is used in the context ng being a parent as confirmed by following phrase na "ako ay magiging Ama niya" (cf. Ps. 2:7 Lxx). γεννάω is defined as "being the parent of" in the use of the context (BDAG). If it means simply giving birth sa isang baby being done by a woman, gagamitin sana ang writer ang Greek word na γέννησις (gennesis). Sa KJV, ESV, NKJV, NASB at ibang English translate this as "beget" o "begotten" which in the English language is defined as "parte na ginagawa ng ama para magkaroon ng anak".
In Conclusion, hindi proof-textes ang mga ito para sa doctrine ni Soriano na may matris at nanganganak si Heavenly Father. it's blasphemy at eisegetical.
