I saw ang isang random na comment sa isang post ng isang Bro, then found out itong comment na ito, citing random verses, with a random interpretation. so naisipan ko na gawan ng maikling article based sa comment na ginawa ko. ginamit ng random guy na ito ang 1 Corinthians 13:10 to disprove yung necessity ng modern day prophets. 

Ang 1 Corinthians 13:10, if titingnan natin yung theme ng context, Paul here speaks all about love/charity at hindi agaisnt prophets. ineemphasize dito ni Paul ang eternity ng love compared sa knowledge na pwedeng mawala sa tao (v. 9). and if you really read your Bible in whole, you will see na parte parin ng church ang prophets and was an essential office in the church given by the Lord Himself para sa unity ng mga Saints (1 Cor. 12:22-28; Eph. 2:19-20; 4:11-14). we have Christian prophets mentioned in the New Testament gaya ni Agabus and other unnamed prophets (Acts 11:27-28) si Barnabas at Simeon etc. (Acts 13:1), Judas and Silas (Acts 15:32), and even Jesus Himself told us na magsesend siya ng prophets and commands us that we should accept them (Mt. 10:40-41; cf. Jn. 13:20; 15:20)
